Just a reminder that I'll be signing at Olympic Cards and Comics in Lacey, WA, tomorrow, from noon until roughly five pm. Ostensibly, this is a Detective Comics signing, but a visit to OCC is always more than that -- and I understand Gabi's come up with some goodies for the event!
Hope to see (some) of you there!

For San Diego Comic Con International, 2009
Thursday, July 23rd
Friday, July 24th
Saturday, July 25th
Sunday, July 26th
All times and locations are subject to the vagaries of con-ness. If I am not where I am supposed to be when I'm supposed to be, I beg patience; negotiating the floor and the hall can be a bitch-and-a-half, and getting from Point A to Point B through an ocean of humanity often takes more time than I'd like.
I will attempt to keep this blog, and my website, updated as to any changes.
Now, then...I promised some Cully goodness a couple days back.
( I aim to deliver. )
Enjoy!

Las Vegas signings this Saturday.
JH3. Me. Detective Comics #854. Comic Oasis and Alternate Reality comics.
And just for added emphasis, JH3.
Really, the only thing that could make this better would be if Cully could make it, too. Which he can't. And that makes me sad.
So I will share Cully art with you. Not now, because, y'know, I don't have any with me, but soon. I promise.
It'll be worth it.

That's tomorrow for you calendar-impaired hep-cats out there. I'll be at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park, outside of Seattle, lurking the stacks as of around 6pm, and doing my one-man show from 7pm to 8pm. If you're in the Seattle area, I'd urge you to stop by -- Third Place is a fabulous bookstore, and it's becomes something of a traditional stop for me during my PNW walkabouts.
Will be posting more in the next few days -- lots of things to share, and a smattering of new appearances/signings leading up to the Madness That Is San Diego. If you're impatient, check out the Appearances page on my website.
Cheers!

Last leg tomorrow, May 12th, signing at the always-fabulous The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale, 7pm!
I have to say that, so far, this has been the most gratifying - and well-attended - series of events I've had for a novel yet, and I'm very much hoping we'll close out the walkabout with a bang tomorrow.
To all of you who've made a point of attending, thanks again for coming out, buying the books, asking the questions, and giving support. There's nothing more energizing and rewarding than actually meeting you all, and I really do appreciate it.

Yes, that's right, the Walking Dead walkabout heads to California tomorrow, for a 7pm signing at M is for Mystery, in San Mateo! I'm looking forward to this one, as it's relatively close to my old hometown stomping grounds, and I know I'll be seeing some friendly faces (amongst them my parents *ahem*).
If you're in the Bay Area, please stop by! And - as always - I'm happy to sign comics as well as books, so if you're still cranked at me for missing WonderCon, here's the chance for me to make up for it!

Today, Saturday, 9 May, I'll be at the lovely little Seattle Mystery Bookshop at noon, for a Walking Dead signing. It's a great little store, and the events here - at least my events here - tend to be very casual affairs. If you're in the area on this blessedly not-raining day, please stop by!
Another signing is tonight, the 7th of May, at Powell's Books in Beaverton, Oregon. The fun starts at 7pm with my relaxed raconteur-like stylings and my overly long-winded and possibly entertaining answers to questions of all sorts and sizes. The Powell's at Cedar Hills is a lovely store, and one of my favorites to visit -- for those of you who couldn't make last night's event at Murder by the Book, here's another chance.
And speaking of last night, I really want to thank everyone who attended -- I don't think I've ever packed that store before, and from where I was sitting, it looked like that's just what happened. I had a wonderful time, and it was great to meet (and in many cases re-meet) so many folks. Aaron, Jamie, John - thanks so much for coming! You made my night! And (I'm hoping I remember this right) Scott, the book has been signed and is on its way as we speak!

Yes, today (meaning Wednesday, 6 May)! Well, actually, tonight, at 7pm, I'll be at Portland's Murder by the Book on Hawthorne for a reading, Q&A, and signing. If you're in the area and can make the event, I'd love to see you there -- and I will happily sign novels, comics, or even body parts, provided they've been properly cleaned first!
Headed up to Seattle tomorrow for the Emerald City ComicCon. I'll be at a table with Jen and
mercuryeric. I'll have some books to sell, stories to tell, and if it goes well, all will be swell.
I'm very sorry about that last sentence, and I beg your immediate forgiveness.
There's a DC Nation panel on Saturday, from 1 to 2 pm in "Panel Room A," which I suspect I'll be asked to sit on. Dan DiDio is out for the show this year, so if nothing else, he'll be endlessly entertaining as he frustrates fans. As for my part, I've actually got no idea if I'll be up there, because just about everything I'm doing for DC is still under information embargo at the moment, which inevitably leads to me repeating, over and over again, "I can't answer that." So maybe I'll be the one who's endlessly frustrating.
Oni Press will be well-represented at the show, as well, and Sunday from 11 to 12, again in "Panel Room A," they'll be having their Quiz Show. Apparently, I'm on that as well, along with Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O'Malley, and Jennfer Van Meter, who, for those of you who still haven't figured it out, is the same Jen from Paragraph One, above. Bryan's very talented wife, Hope Larson, will be at the show, as well.
I like this show; Jim Demonakos has done a terrific job with it, and it's one of my favorite of the circuit, one of the few I actually get excited about attending every year. The Portland Crowd tends to be pretty thick in attendance, as well, including most -- if not all -- of the Periscope Studio crew. I'll also get to see Matthew Southworth, which is great, because Stumptown is inching its way ever-closer to a release; we're hoping for the first issue in September.
Work is continuing apace. The novel has reached a crossroads. Should know which direction I'm taking it in the next two days, and once that's decided, then it's just a matter of typing the draft as fast as I can. I'm running about two weeks behind (according to my personal schedule), and I'm eager to make it up, as other work (primarily comics works) is back-burnered for the time being.
Philip Tan -- who will also be at the show this weekend! -- is continuing to deliver amazing pages on FC:R. I get leery of posting stuff without permission, but if you've checked out his blog, you can see some of his work-in-progress.
